🌟 Weekly Act of Kindness – Giving Your Best! 🌟
This week’s Act of Kindness is all about giving your BEST effort on the End of Grade Tests 💪📚. You’re not just doing it for yourself—you’re doing it for your classmates, your teachers, your school, and everyone who has believed in you along the way. This is your chance to show how far you’ve come. You’ve worked hard all year—now it’s time to shine ✨.
Challenge:
When you take your tests this week:
Give it your all—leave nothing behind
Wish your classmates luck
Encourage each other
Celebrate the effort—not just the result
We’re all in this together, and we’re all pulling for each other. Let’s show what Maroon Strong really means. You’ve got this!

Mock Trial in Mrs. Lucas' Social Studies Class!
Today, many our 6th graders stepped into the courtroom for a mock trial inspired by The Three Little Pigs. Students took on roles to either prosecute or defend the Big Bad Wolf, showcasing their understanding of the legal systems.
A big thank you to the Swain County Administrative Office for allowing us to use the courtroom—this real-world setting made the experience even more impactful!

Any girl interested in summer workouts for volleyball. Join the SportsYou below for information on when and where.

Next school year Swain Middle Athletics will be using the same program as the high school for keeping track of the forms needed for student athletes to participate. Below you will find the step by step instructions to sign up you and then your student athlete. Parents will sign up first, and then the student. Please use the student's school email. Any questions please contact BJ Ledford at bledford@swainmail.org

We wrapped it all up with a fun and competitive grade-level game 🎯—a great way to kick off the week!

🌟 Weekly Act of Kindness Challenge: 🌟
12 ½ Days Left — Let’s Finish Strong, Maroon Strong!
Your character matters. Your integrity matters. One of the best ways to show respect for your school, your classmates, and yourself is by taking care of the space we all share.
This week’s Kindness Challenge:
✅ Throw trash away
✅ Clean up after yourself at breakfast and lunch
✅ Respect the bathrooms
✅ Show pride in your school and community
Remember, when we don’t take care of our school, others have to pick up the pieces. Let’s show them the respect they deserve.
Let’s lead with kindness, respect, and pride—and finish the year the right way.

🌟 8th Grade Charleston Trip Highlights! 🌟
Our 8th grade students had an unforgettable time exploring Charleston, South Carolina! From the beach to Top Golf, Fort Sumter, the Charleston Market, and so many other adventures, the trip was packed with fun, learning, and lasting memories.
Even more impressive than the sights was the way our students represented Swain Middle School—with respect and pride. They received multiple compliments from community members for their outstanding behavior, and we couldn’t be prouder.
This trip was a celebration of their hard work, and they absolutely earned every moment. Way to go 8th Grade!
