Important announcement for Swain High parents and students!
The official drop-in hours for Open House on August 14th are from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.


Early Chromebook pickup dates have been scheduled!
Device pickup will start on Tuesday, August 5th, and run through Friday, August 8th. Drop-in hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in the Swain High Media Center.
Incoming Freshmen will report on Tuesday, Sophomores on Wednesday, Juniors on Thursday, and Seniors on Friday. Students will also be able to receive their device during Open House on August 14th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Registration will be required before you can pick up your Chromebook. School staff will check that all Technology agreements have been signed and submitted electronically before your student will be able to receive their device.
To enroll your student, please go online to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and fill out the online registration forms. More information can be found on the Swain High Facebook page or Swain County Schools main website, under the “For Parents” tab.

Class of 2026 Senior Portraits!
This Wednesday, July 23rd, Prestige Portraits will be in the SCHS Swain Arts Center for 2025/2026 Yearbook photos!
Please sign up prior on www.prestigeportraits.com.
The cost is $30 for the Essential Session and $20 for the Mini Session.
Prestige will provide black drapes and tuxedos for all portraits. Students are required to wear a plain white t-shirt and bring two casual outfits for non-formal portraits.

Swain County Schools has the following job openings available


Attention, rising seniors! Senior portraits will be Wednesday, July 23 in the Swain Arts Center. You must have your portrait made to be included in the 2025–26 yearbook.


Swain High Report Cards have been posted to Parent Portal.
We would like to apologize for the delay in posting the report cards, but we have been waiting on State EOC scores.

Congratulations to Ashley Walls- She drew the "One Eyed Jack" and won a massage by Tanis Deal! Having so much fun drawing cards and building a hand for the week.
SCHS wants to thank all the people have donated and made this a huge success.


Congratulations to Cristina Heath- she is the winner of the Card of the day! She drew the Queen of hearts today and won $100 gift card to La Dolce.
Shout out to Swain County Schools for the awesome Barbeque lunch provided yesterday and to the Great Smoky Railway for today's TACO BAR!


Richard Stephenson was the first winner of SCHS's Teacher Appreciation event.
Today he drew the Card of the Day and selected from a variety of door prizes. He chose the Golf package from Bear Lake Reserve!
