February Webinar: Helping Kids Build Healthy Relationships with Food
Conversations about food and body image can come up in many ways at school and at home. From student stress to peer dynamics, these topics can feel hard to navigate without the right tools.
Join Cartwheel and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant, Dana Sedlak, LCSW, CEDS-C, for a free, live webinar on helping kids build healthy relationships with food and their bodies on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 12–1 pm ET.

Due to the weather, we have decided to reschedule our Winter Festival to ensure everyone’s safety and that we can all enjoy the event. A new date will be announced soon, so please keep an eye out for an update!
Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you very soon! ⛄🎉

Due to predicted overnight weather, Swain County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, January 15th. Buses will not run on icy roads.
However, we will continue to monitor weather conditions overnight and notify you of any changes as soon as possible.

We’re so excited to see everyone for our Winter Festival this upcoming Thursday!
📍 Important reminder: The Winter Festival will be held INSIDE from 5-7 pm, so come on in and stay warm!
🎟️We’ll have raffles with some amazing prizes! A $10 wristband gives you unlimited access to games and inflatables. Food will be available for purchase separately.
🍰 Cake Walk Reminder:
Please remember to send in store-bought cakes or snack cakes (Little Debbie cakes, cupcakes, brownies, donuts, etc.) for the cake walk. Items should be brought in by Thursday morning.
Thank you all for your support — we can’t wait for a fun night together! 💙

We are so proud of our students who achieved Perfect Attendance for the 2nd Nine Weeks!
