There will be no school for students on Monday, October 31, 2022 for a Teacher Workday.

There will be no school for students on Monday, September 19, 2022 for a Teacher Workday.

Online Registration is now open for Returning students for the 2022-23 school year!

The Online Student Registration Form is open for the 2022-2023 school year for students that completed the previous school year in our school system!!! Please consider using this online process in place of many of the hard copy student forms that your child brings home at the beginning of the school year. https://bit.ly/SCSOnlineReg22

Student Accident Insurance Available

Young Insurance Group is offering voluntary student accident insurance for the 2022-2023 school year. Information is posted under the For Parents section under the Student Accident Insurance link. You can apply on-line or by mail. Applications are available on the school website at

Last Day of School

End of the School Year

Please remember, Wednesday, June 1, is a half day for students at East and West Elementary, Swain Middle School, and Swain High School. There will be no school for Bright Adventures Pre k. Buses will leave Swain High School at 11:00. Thank you for a very successful school year. We look forward to starting again for all students on August 22. Have a safe summer.

Family Masking/Face Covering Update

Most of you have already begun to hear that change is in the air. Our School Board has reviewed the data, read guidelines, listened to concerned families, and has made the decision to move our schools to masking optional settings beginning February 21, 2022. The motion made by the Board is not intended to override any CDC directions and face masks are encouraged while community transmission levels remain high and substantial.

Two Hour Delay/No School MS Prek

No School at Swain Middle & Bright Adventures-Two Hour Delay everywhere else - 5/27/2022

Due to a power outage that is expected to take time to fix, there will be no school for students at Swain Middle School and Bright Adventures PreK today, Friday May 27th. Swain High School, and East and West Elementary Schools will still be on a 2 Hour delayed schedule. Thank you.
